Continuous Applicant Pool - Deputy Principal 

We invite applicants, who meet the mandatory employment requirements, to apply for Deputy Principal relieving opportunities in Metropolitan North Region. 

The region will actively review applications throughout Semester 2, 2026 as vacancies arise.

Positions may range in duration up to six months. Any extensions to an appointment will not exceed 12 months.

Participating in the Pool 

Applicants are encouraged to discuss their application with their current supervisor to confirm support, capacity to release, and capability for this classification level.

The region may also progress separate EOIs for individual positions when considered necessary.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Principal to lead the school community through the school special education program (SEP) or early childhood development program (ECDP) to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Deputise for the Principal when required.
  • Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
