Your new role:

As a Senior Information Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring information requests are managed efficiently, accurately and in accordance with legislative requirements while supporting a collaborative and customer-focused service. You will:

  • Act as a delegated Primary Decision-Maker for Right to Information (RTI) applications and manage complex information access requests.
  • Provide guidance, support and training to team members while ensuring requests are processed within legislative timeframes.
  • Liaise with applicants, legal representatives, government agencies and healthcare professionals to facilitate information access outcomes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, policy development and quality activities that enhance service delivery.

About you:

We are looking for a knowledgeable and highly organised professional who can balance legislative compliance with exceptional customer service and stakeholder engagement. You have:

  • Demonstrated expertise in information access legislation, including the Right to Information Act 2009 and confidentiality requirements within healthcare settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate, build relationships and provide sound advice to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and deliver outcomes within strict deadlines.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with experience identifying process improvements and contributing to team success.
