Southport State High School has an exciting opportunity for a part-time (0.4 FTE) Deputy Principal (Inclusion) to join the leadership team, working Thursdays and Fridays.
In this role, you will lead the Inclusion Department, support student engagement and wellbeing, and contribute to daily school operations through participation in a rotating supervision roster.

Southport State High School is a large, well-established secondary school located in Southport on the Gold Coast, serving a diverse student community and offers a broad range of academic, vocational and engagement pathways from Year 7-12.

About the Role
The ideal applicant will lead the following key activities:
- Support the Principal in leading the Special Education Program (SEP) or Early Childhood Development Program (ECDP), building a shared vision for improved learning outcomes
- Deputise for the Principal when required
- Embed ethical, values-based and socially just practice across daily school operations
- Set and uphold high expectations for student and staff performance
- Engage in and promote ongoing professional learning and development
- Build and maintain partnerships with parents, government agencies, community organisations, industry and business
- Lead strategic, future-focused school improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with legislation and policy relating to students with disability
- Manage human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources to achieve program goals
