Your Role

Responsibilites include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide individual and group counselling to students, parents, and families, delivering assessments, interventions, and ongoing support to address personal, social, and relationship concerns.
  • Identify the needs of students and families and coordinate referrals to relevant health, welfare, and community services to ensure appropriate support and intervention.
  • Strengthen school-community partnerships by engaging with parents/carers, promoting participation in school programs and activities, and acting as a key liaison between the school and community.
  • Plan and deliver educational presentations and initiatives that raise awareness of social issues affecting student wellbeing, engagement, and learning outcomes.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and review the effectiveness of programs and services within the educational setting, maintaining accurate and confidential records in accordance with departmental policies.
  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to support students and school communities, including responding to critical incidents and emergencies and contributing to interagency networks and coordinated support services.
