About the Team
The Queensland Children's Hospital Switchboard is a dynamic team who provide courteous and professional switchboard services to staff and customers of the hospital. This is a 24/7 service.
About the Role
In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:
- Efficiently operate switchboard equipment by responding professionally to all incoming calls to the hospital ensuring that the caller is transferred or redirected correctly and in timely manner.
- Communicate regularly with all departments of the hospital to maintain accurate and current records for effective switchboard operations.
- Operate alternative communication systems to regularly liaise with hospital staff in the event of an emergency or security response situation.
