Under Section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
A role that makes a difference
This role sits within the Public Health Unit of Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service, contributing to key programs including communicable disease control, immunisation, rheumatic heart disease, skin health, outbreak response and health promotion.
Working within the Rheumatic Heart Disease and Skin Health portfolio, you will support program delivery, reporting and improved health outcomes across the region.
As an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner, you will provide culturally responsive primary health care, including assessment, treatment, health program delivery and cultural liaison. The role also includes an extended scope of practice such as immunisations and medication administration under clinical direction.

- Base salary comprising between $101,511.00 - $119,674.00 p.a
