Lead Pharmacy Innovation & Inventory Excellence

Join Princess Alexandra Hospital as a senior pharmacy leader responsible for medicines inventory, procurement, dispensing technology and operational excellence. Lead service improvements, manage key pharmacy support teams and influence strategic decisions that support safe, effective and sustainable patient care. This role is Temporary Part-time (6 months, 15 hours per fortnight).

Your new role:

As a key member of the Pharmacy leadership team, you will oversee medicines inventory, procurement, dispensing technology and financial reconciliation within one of Queensland's leading tertiary hospitals. Working closely with senior clinicians, pharmacy leaders and stakeholders, you will drive innovation, manage operational services and ensure the safe, efficient and compliant supply of medicines across the organisation. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading pharmacy inventory, procurement and dispensing operations
• Managing pharmacy administration staff and operational resources
• Driving service improvement, quality initiatives and change management
• Providing expert advice on medicines expenditure, procurement and supply

About you:

You are an experienced pharmacist and operational leader who combines strong clinical knowledge with advanced inventory and procurement expertise. You will demonstrate:

• Advanced clinical pharmacy knowledge and experience
• Expertise in medicines inventory, procurement and dispensing technology
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills
• Proven leadership in service improvement, innovation and team management

About us:

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.

We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.

We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
