Expressions of Interest are invited for the role of Principal (Level 2) at Boulia State School for Semester 2, 2026.
Boulia State School offers an opportunity to lead a small P-6 school where the Principal plays a highly visible role in shaping school culture, teaching and learning, and community engagement.
This is a temporary full-time position until 11 December 2026 and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

About the School
Boulia State School is a small school in western Queensland, providing personalised learning in a close-knit community where strong relationships support student success.
Under the current Partnership Initiative special purpose classification uplift, this position has received a top-up to be remunerated as a Level 4. This special purpose classification level uplift arrangement is intended to retain and attract school leaders who can drive improvements in learning and life outcomes through a system wide approach within Partnership Initiative schools and their communities.
About the Role
As Principal, you will provide strategic and instructional leadership, foster a positive school culture and work closely with staff, families and the wider community to achieve improved outcomes for students.
The ideal applicant will:
- Drive a shared vision that achieves strong student outcomes.
- Provide ethical, strategic leadership across the school.
- Embed inclusive, socially just practices.
- Set and maintain high standards for students and staff.
- Build partnerships with parents, agencies, and the community.
- Lead professional growth and oversee school operations.
