Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Be the go-to expert: Provide high-level advice on operational impacts of policy and legislative changes and suggest innovative improvements.
  • Lead with purpose: Support your manager in achieving operational goals and help refine our processes to keep us at the top of our game.
  • Inspire your team: Supervise and mentor staff, set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure everyone has the tools and training they need to succeed.
  • Keep us moving: Work with Facilities and Fleet teams to ensure our equipment is always ready to go.
  • Be a problem-solver: Troubleshoot daily challenges, track progress, and keep everything running smoothly.
  • Be a communicator: Chair meetings, deliver engaging induction presentations, and collaborate with colleagues across the department.
  • Drive innovation: Provide recommendations to improve business outcomes and help us stay ahead of the curve.
  • Make an impact: Contribute to the success of the National Fire Ant Eradication Program and other critical biosecurity initiatives.
