Get off the tools part-time and help shape the next generation of plumbers. Join our Ashmore team as a Casual Plumbing Teacher - this is a great opportunity for an experienced plumbing professional to stay connected to industry, share their knowledge and enjoy flexible casual work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outcome-focused vocational education and training (VET) programs aligned with national training package requirements
- Lead effective teaching and learning across classroom, workplace, simulated and online environments
- Design, develop and implement industry-aligned assessment tools and practices
- Use flexible, blended and inclusive learning approaches to support diverse student cohorts
- Maintain currency with industry practices, teaching methodologies and educational technologies
- Monitor student progress, provide feedback and support learning outcomes
- Contribute to continuous improvement and quality assurance activities
- Promote safe work practices, sustainability and positive learning environments
- Build effective relationships with students, staff, industry and stakeholders
The ideal applicant will demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of national training packages and accredited courses
- Capability to deliver engaging, industry-relevant and technology-enhanced learning
- Effective communication, teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development and industry currency
- An inclusive, student-centred approach with sound knowledge of safe and equitable work practices
What you’ll need:
Mandatory Qualifications / Requirements
- CPC32420 / CPC40920 Certificate III & Certificate IV Plumbing/Drainage/Gas Fitting, or equivalent.
- TAE40122 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
- Extensive experience in the Plumbing industry
Note: Evidence of qualifications and industry currency will be required at interview.
Highly desirable:
- Digital literacy skills across various software and databases
- Current Gas Fitters License
- Current EWP ticket
