This is a progressional position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Science Technician to support the delivery of high-quality molecular diagnostic and research activities within our Genetics Analysis team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to important biosecurity outcomes while developing your laboratory and technical skills in a professional scientific environment.
As a Science Technician, you will work closely with scientists and technical staff to undertake routine laboratory procedures, support molecular diagnostic testing, maintain laboratory standards, and contribute to research projects. The role offers a varied workload and the opportunity to develop expertise in molecular biology techniques and laboratory quality systems.
