About the role
In this role, you will take the lead in delivering end-to-end procurement and contract management services that directly support the delivery of critical healthcare initiatives across Metro North Health. Working closely with Digital Metro North and a wide network of stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in shaping procurement strategies, managing complex sourcing activities, and ensuring contracts are effectively negotiated and administered. Your work will focus on balancing commercial value, risk management, and compliance, while enabling innovative technology solutions to be successfully delivered.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Work collaboratively with the Principal Procurement and Contracts Officer, Technology to provide a point of accountability for ICT procurement, contract management and reporting within Metro North Procurement Services
- Provide advice and support to MNH and Digital Metro North teams on procurement strategies, contract administration and procurement procedures.
- Maintain MNH reputation by ensuring highest standard possible is achieved in procurement activities including probity, accountability and transparency.
- Coordinate tender processes, including preparing, issuing, maintaining, and evaluating tender documentation while building and maintaining positive and professional relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Source, negotiate and establish robust QITC agreements that deliver MNH requirements and effectively manage commercial and legal risks. These contracts should deliver value for money, support business outcomes and needs and enable effective supplier management.
