About your opportunity
The purpose of this position is to provide advanced clinical and consultancy services within the Audiology service.
The position delivers advanced audiological services to stakeholders/consumers in the North Queensland region to achieve excellence in patient care, education, and research.
This includes:
- Independently delivering and demonstrating advanced clinical skills in one or more specialised areas including - Infants and Paediatrics, Vestibular, Ear, Nose &Throat (ENT) and Cochlear Implants.
- Providing service wide audiological clinical and professional advice on the above-mentioned specialised areas, including taking a lead role in skill development of less experienced staff.
- Co-ordination of multidisciplinary teams including the Childhood Hearing Clinic, North Queensland Cochlear Implant Clinic, First Point Of Contact ENT Clinics and the Community Hearing Screening Program.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $5557.50 to $5798.90 p.f. (HP5)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Requirements:
- Audiology possession of a tertiary degree with Audiology from a recognised tertary institution and eligibility for provisional or full membershop with Audiology Australia.
- The position may be required to work across any of the sites / facilities within the Townsville Hospital & Health service based on current service needs and priorities.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
