About the role
As a Workplace Health and Safety Officer, you'll be part of a dedicated team committed to maintaining a safe, compliant, and supportive environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
Working within the People, Culture and Planning portfolio, you'll contribute to the delivery of safety programs, early injury management, and return-to-work initiatives, while supporting a strong culture of continuous improvement and clinical governance.
- Coordinate and deliver workplace health and safety programs, training, and initiatives aligned with organisational and state-wide strategies
- Investigate incidents, analyse trends, and provide clear reporting and advice to support improved safety outcomes
- Support facilities and staff with practical health and safety guidance, including rehabilitation and return-to-work processes

Requirements
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- Mandatory certification as a Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator is required.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
