About the work unit / facility:

The Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit (AAMHIU) is a 36-bed acute inpatient service located at The Townsville Hospital.  The unit delivers specialised care to consumers experiencing acute episodes of mental illness.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $87,368 to $112,064 p.a. (NG5)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
  • Permanent full-time position, multiple positions available

About your opportunity:

The purpose of this role is to provide a high level of care to patients and their families within the scope of practice of a Registered Nurse. The successful applicant will collaborate with and foster effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders involved in patient care and service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration (AHPRA).
  • Possession of class C drivers' licence.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
