Calamvale Community College is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced applicants for the temporary/internal role of Facility Manager. organised individual to coordinate the day-to-day management, maintenance, compliance, and improvement of the school's infrastructure and assets.The successful applicant will work closely with the Business Manager, Facilities Team, and external contractors to ensure the school's facilities are maintained to a
high standard and continue to provide safe, functional, and welcoming environments for students, staff, and the broader school community.
This is a Temporary Full-Time position until 25 December 2026, unless otherwise determined.

About the School
Welcome to Calamvale Community College - a highly regarded P-12 College in the southern suburbs of Brisbane. Founded in 2002, the school has grown to an enrolment of over 2600 students at the commencement of 2026. Calamvale Community College is nestled in the education corner of Calamvale, surrounded by early learning centres, Calamvale C&K, feeder primary schools and Calamvale Special School We are very much a part of our community, this encourages our young people to actively engage and contribute through opportunities to learn and work in the local area.
Your Role
Responsbilities include, but are not limited to:
- Contribute to strategic facilities planning and budget management, identifying cost-saving opportunities across capital works, minor works, utilities, maintenance programs, and operational expenditure while providing advice to support informed decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, departmental policies, procedures, and standards relating to facilities planning, operational management, and workplace safety across the school environment.
- Coordinate and supervise preventative and reactive maintenance activities, including electrical testing, carpet cleaning, pest control, equipment servicing, plant maintenance, and the management of maintenance records and repair schedules.
- Supporte workforce management through staff recruitment and selection processes, training and induction of School Officers, administration of school-based trainee programs, and coordination of venue hire operations.
- Manage school security systems and emergency responses, including after-hours call-outs for break-ins, security faults, equipment malfunctions, key register control, staff security training, and measures to prevent vandalism and unauthorised access.
- Oversee operational support services including stock control, inventory management, equipment asset recording, banking of school funds, delegation of School Officer duties, stores administration, and coordination of cleaning and waste management activities.
