About the role:

  • Play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained healthcare environment by managing the hospital's grounds, gardens, and outdoor spaces to a high standard.
  • Undertake a diverse range of responsibilities, including lawn and garden maintenance, waste management, porterage support, vehicle cleaning, and minor maintenance tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of the facility.
  • Operate and maintain gardening equipment, hospital vehicles, and machinery while ensuring all tools and assets remain in good working condition and any issues are promptly reported.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the hospital, demonstrating strong communication, teamwork, and professionalism while participating in ongoing training and development opportunities.

About you:

  • You bring experience in gardening, groundskeeping, maintenance, or a similar hands-on role, or have the willingness and ability to quickly develop these skills in a healthcare environment. While not mandatory, relevant qualifications or certifications would be highly regarded.
  • You are a proactive and reliable team player with strong communication and computer skills, capable of building positive working relationships while delivering high-quality service.
  • You can work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment to achieve shared goals.
  • You have the physical capability to safely undertake manual tasks and a commitment to workplace health and safety, quality improvement, and maintaining a respectful and inclusive workplace.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $77,671 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $32.18 - $34.33 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
