Working within a specialised medical and scientific environment, you will provide essential support to Medical, Scientific and Technical staff, assisting with mortuary operations and autopsy services while ensuring the highest standards of dignity, respect and care for deceased persons and their families.

Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
- Knowledge of, or the ability to gain knowledge of, techniques relating to post-mortem examinations, tissue retrieval and other related Histology laboratory tasks with proven ability to follow both written and oral instruction with the insight to solve and identify problems through technical methodology; and organise information quickly.
- Demonstrated reliability, integrity, confidentiality, and professional attitude necessary for a medico-legal and potentially hazardous workplace.
- Demonstrated understanding of relevant legislation and guidelines and their application to a mortuary undertaking medico-legal autopsies.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to work in a team and contribute positively to team outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively maintain a safe, secure, and clean mortuary and laboratory environments and an understanding of and willingness to contribute to the relevant systems, processes, and procedures.
