The Business Support Officer provides effective and efficient corporate and administrative support to the CFMEU Commission of Inquiry.
The work of the Business Support Officer is underpinned by excellent communication, engagement and relationship management across the multidisciplinary team of the Inquiry, as well as other internal and external stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to plan, manage and execute multiple tasks simultaneously to set timeframes.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and use initiative to meet work priorities, as well as investigate and resolve problems when answers are not readily apparent.
• A commitment to achieving quality outcomes, adhering to documented procedures and seeing projects through to completion as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Skills and experience, (or the ability to rapidly acquire skills in) at least one or more of the following areas:
- Investigations support and witness management.
- Legal secretarial support including typing, dictation, responding to correspondence.
- Paralegal support including advanced legal research, submission drafting, preparation of legal advice and briefing counsel.
- Records and Archive management with experience in records management complying with the Public Records Act 2023 .
- Information Technology support and software implementation.
