The purpose of this role is to apply scientific judgement in the analysis of patient specimens, leading to the verification and validation of test results within Haematology and Transfusion services, while supporting the delivery of safe, accurate and timely diagnostic outcomes.
What you'll do
In this role you will perform diagnostic testing and analysis within haematology and transfusion services, verify and validate patient results, provide scientific advice to clinical teams, contribute to quality assurance and accreditation activities, participate in service improvement initiatives, support the development of laboratory procedures and protocols, maintain compliance with professional and accreditation standards, and contribute to a collaborative multidisciplinary laboratory environment.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Holds a relevant tertiary qualification in science or medical laboratory science
- Has experience or demonstrated capability within haematology and transfusion services
- Can apply scientific judgement and critical thinking to diagnostic testing activities
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills
- Is committed to quality, safety and continuous improvement
- Can work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detai
