As the Pedagogy Coach for Literacy, you will:

• Lead and coordinate the coaching and mentoring of staff members, fostering a collaborative learning culture, modelling evidence-based literacy teaching practices, and encouraging targeted professional development
• Drive the development, implementation, and review of literacy-focused teaching and learning strategies within the school
• Play a key role in supporting the school leadership team to achieve literacy targets and goals

Your role:

• Lead literacy-specific pedagogical development to enhance student literacy outcomes across all year levels
• Provide coaching and guidance to classroom teachers, focusing on quality literacy teaching strategies
• Collaborate with Heads of Department and Academic Tutors to align literacy initiatives with the school's strategic objectives
• Develop teacher capability through professional development and promoting evidence-based practices
• Support the leadership team with professional development related to literacy programs and strategies
• Build leadership capacity by establishing professional learning communities with a focus on literacy
• Lead data-informed practices to support staff in analysing and responding to literacy data
