Manager - South East Region - Wellbeing Workforce

An exciting opportunity exists for a temporary Manager, Wellbeing, to lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team of professional supervisors across psychology, social work, youth work and guidance in the South East Region.

This role plays a critical leadership function in supporting workforce capability, organisational development and the implementation of strategic priorities across the wellbeing workforce.

The successful applicant will provide leadership in a complex and evolving environment, working collaboratively with stakeholders to strengthen service delivery, support continuous improvement and ensure the effective implementation of regional and statewide initiatives.

About the Role:

A key focus of the role will be leading workforce reform. and change initiatives across the wellbeing workforce.

The Manager will provide strategic leadership during periods of transformation, supporting teams to navigate complexity, embed sustainable change, build workforce capability, implement new initiatives and maintain a strong focus on quality outcomes for students, schools and staff.

Your capabilities will include:

  • Management skills and the ability to determine resource allocations, manage staff and resources, formulate policy initiatives and develop corporate strategies
  • Experience overseeing personnel management functions and leading workforce and organisational development initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change, build capability and maintain engagement within complex operating environments
  • Knowledge of financial program management practices and evaluation of program outcomes against stated objectives
  • A high level of discipline knowledge, including government policies and procedures and their application to operational and strategic decision-making
  • Highly developed communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills to resolve complex organisational issues and build productive partnerships
