About the Team
The Queensland Paediatric Immunology and Allergy Service provides services for children and young people who have severe allergies or immune deficiency.
We help children with immune system issues such as:
- Immune deficiencies
- Autoimmune diseases
- Mastocytosis
- Hereditary angioedema
- Immunosuppressive therapy
We also help children with allergic disorders such as:
- Food allergies
- Anaphylaxis
- Severe atopic dermatitis
- Severe allergic rhinitis
- Drug allergies.
About the Role
The position of Paediatric Registrar (in the role of Research registrar) will:
- Assist in the delivery of clinical trials to children with various immunological and allergic conditions within the Queensland Paediatric Immunology and Allergy Service (QPIAS)
- Demonstrate commitment to evidence-based practice, research and good clinical practice, completing the role of sub-investigator on a range of clinical trials.
- Develop his/her own professional skills in immunology and allergy paediatrics, outcome based clinical trials and specific knowledge with regards to delivering better outcomes for children with neurodevelopmental difficulties.
