About the role:

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based perioperative nursing care, using specialised clinical skills to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care throughout the surgical journey.
  • Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, coordinated and patient-centred care within a busy theatre environment.
  • Apply advanced critical thinking, clinical judgement and problem-solving skills to respond effectively to changing patient needs and complex perioperative situations.
  • Support a culture of learning and excellence by mentoring colleagues, participating in professional development, promoting evidence-based practice and leading care coordination when required.

About you:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse is essential, with recent perioperative experience required. Postgraduate qualifications in Perioperative Nursing, or progress towards them, are highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in at least two perioperative specialties, such as scrub and scout/circulating nursing, with the ability to deliver safe, high-quality patient care in the operating theatre environment.
  • Strong understanding of perioperative legislation, standards, policies and procedures, with a commitment to maintaining best practice and patient safety.
  • Well-developed leadership, communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to support and educate colleagues while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary perioperative team.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $127,861 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $44.06 - $56.51 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
