About the Role:

The position requires strong professional leadership and management capabilities. The role requires an ability to lead and manage the Performance Monitoring and Reporting Unit to deliver government priorities along with excellence in client service delivery.

Some key priorities include:

  • Leading the collection, maintenance and reporting of early childhood education and care and school enrolment, attendance and attainment performance data.
  • Leading DoE performance analysis and reporting.
  • Providing expert advisory and consultancy services to sections of the department in relation to performance measurement, monitoring and reporting.
  • Representing the department and state at key national and state consultative bodies.
  • Managing the data storage systems and business intelligence processes to make key strategic information readily available.
  • Managing the accountabilities of the department in relation to relevant corporate reporting and legislative requirements.

The Executive Director, Performance, Monitoring and Reporting reports to the Assistant Director-General, Strategy and Performance.  The Performance Monitoring and Reporting team comprises five teams led by Directors who report directly to the Executive Director.

Responsibilities Include:

As the Executive Director, you will:

  • Provide executive leadership in performance monitoring and reporting through the effective development and implementation of processes, frameworks and systems that enable the achievement of strategic imperatives.
  • Provide performance analysis and advice to support executive decision making and manage the research, development, review and implementation of early childhood education and care and school education performance management and reporting options for Government, national bodies and stakeholders.
