Caningeraba State School is seeking a strong instructional leader to join the leadership team as Head of Department (Curriculum). This temporary opportunity is available until 11 December 2026, unless otherwise determined.

Working within a highly collaborative leadership team, you will drive curriculum excellence, strengthen teaching practice and build staff capability through targeted professional learning. This role offers the opportunity to influence whole-school improvement and support strong outcomes for every student.

About the Role

As Head of Department (Curriculum), you will lead curriculum familiarisation, planning, implementation and review processes to continuously improve learning outcomes for all students.

You will provide instructional leadership, strengthen curriculum delivery and build staff capability through targeted professional learning. The role requires demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and a deep understanding of Reading through the Australian Curriculum and the department's strategic agenda.

The successful applicant will bring the leadership capability to influence practice, support high-performing educators and contribute to continuous school improvement.
