About our School:
Northern Peninsula Area State College is a unique and culturally rich multi-campus K-12 educational setting located in Bamaga, at the tip of Cape York Peninsula. The College serves the communities of Bamaga, Injinoo, Umagico, New Mapoon and Seisia and is deeply grounded in the strong Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage of the region, including families with connections to Saibai, Badu and other Torres Strait Islander communities.
Operating across three campuses—Ama Mary Eseli Injinoo Campus, Bamaga Junior Campus and Bamaga Senior Campus—the College provides a truly immersive educational experience, strongly aligned with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage in one of Queensland's most remote locations, while offering teachers meaningful, career-defining opportunities. With approximately 60 staff across teaching and administration, the College continues to grow and evolve to deliver high-quality education and meaningful outcomes for students and the community.
The Northern Peninsula Area State College community is made up of people who identify strongly with Aboriginal culture, Torres Strait Islander culture and non-Indigenous cultures. Many local families originate from Saibai Island and Badu Island, as well as other Torres Strait Islands. The College currently has approximately 60 registered teachers in teaching, and administrative roles across all campuses and continues to grow and adapt to deliver a quality education service in one of Queensland's most remote regions.
About the Role:
- Provide strategic advice and lead the delivery of corporate services in line with departmental policy and the school workforce plan.
- Lead, develop and support a diverse administration workforce, enhancing capability and service delivery.
- Contribute to school leadership decision-making and identify opportunities to improve and streamline business processes.
In this pivotal leadership role, you will work closely with the Principal and executive leadership team to ensure the effective delivery of corporate and operational services that support teaching and learning across all campuses.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage corporate services across finance, human resources, facilities and administration to support effective school operations.
- Provide strategic advice and develop improved systems, policies and processes in a complex multi-functional environment.
- Oversee financial management, including budgeting, reporting, compliance and strategic financial planning.
- Lead workforce planning and manage school support staff, including recruitment, development and performance.
- Manage facilities, assets and operational resources to support school priorities.
- Provide high-level advice on HR, WHS and operational service delivery matters.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support collaboration and service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement, change management and a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
