About the role
In this advanced practice role, you will lead and support safety and quality initiatives across the Critical Care and Women's & Children's Service Lines, ensuring alignment with the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards. You will provide expert clinical guidance, influence best practice, and drive continuous improvement in patient safety and care outcomes.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Demonstrate advanced specialist knowledge, experience, and clinical skills in safety and quality and the NSQHS Standards.
- Participate in innovation and change initiatives to respond to emerging service needs within Critical Care and Women's and Children's Service Lines, with a focus on patient safety and quality improvement in accordance with the NSQHS Standards.
- Support the Nursing Director, Safety and Quality and Critical Care and Women's and Children's Service Line staff by identifying inconsistencies between practice and policy, and work in collaboration with the interprofessional team to implement changes.
