What's involved – Central West Health (CWH) welcomes passionate individuals who are dedicated to making a significant difference in the lives of patients in remote areas of Queensland. Working as part of a broader team of around 29 medical officers, you will experience the breathtaking landscapes of outback Queensland and some of the friendliest communities in the country. Here, you will work at top of scope, pushing your limits and embracing our One Practice Model of Care. This model enables you to practice across local hospital, general practices, and provide outreach services for primary health. Our model of care is backed by a collegial and supportive team environment that fosters professional growth and well-being.
What's required:
- You are registered with, or eligible for registration with AHPRA.
- You have a relevant post-graduate qualification FRACGP, FACRRM or equivalent for Senior Medical Officer OR you are on a training pathway leading to FRACGP, FACRRM for Senior Medical Officer (Provisional Fellow)
AND
- You have an advanced skill in emergency medicine, indigenous health, internal medical, mental health or paediatrics.
AND
- You have a genuine desire to work at top of scope in acute and general practice settings making a real difference to the lives of remote Queenslanders.
CWH offers SMO's a Grant of Private Practice (GPP) Assigned or Retained under the MOCA 7 remuneration framework. GPP retained enables SMO's to retain a portion of Private Practice earnings for activity performed during hours of work. CWH unique health funding and revenue environment, has resulted in this being a popular choice amongst SMO's throughout CWH.
