Your new role:

This Cardiac Imaging Fellowship offers a unique opportunity to develop advanced expertise across multiple cardiac imaging modalities within a high-performing cardiology service. Working across Logan Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital, you'll play a key role in delivering specialist imaging services while contributing to education, research and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and supervise cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, echocardiography and transoesophageal echocardiography procedures.
  • Manage a dedicated weekly clinic and contribute to multidisciplinary patient care and treatment planning.
  • Participate in research projects, quality improvement initiatives and educational activities.
  • Support the development of junior medical staff and medical students through teaching and mentoring.

About you:

You are an emerging or qualified cardiology specialist with a passion for cardiac imaging, research and education. You thrive in collaborative clinical environments and are committed to delivering evidence-based patient care.

Skills & Experience

  • Advanced Training in Cardiology completed or nearing completion through the RACP.
  • Experience or strong interest in multimodality cardiac imaging, including CT, MRI and echocardiography.
  • Demonstrated commitment to research, education and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and patient-centred care skills.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
