- Base salary range: $73.12 - $76.30 p.h. (HP5)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to provide advanced clinical leadership and operational management within the Townsville University Hospital (TUH) Pharmacy Department, with a focus on Centralised Services.
You will lead a diverse portfolio including the Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit, Home IV service, Controlled Drugs and Monitored Medications, and Offender Health Pharmacy Services. The role ensures delivery of safe, high-quality services aligned with legislation, professional standards, and best practice, including compliance with Clean Room Standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.
As a senior pharmacist, you will contribute to strategic planning, service development, and stakeholder engagement across key areas such as Home IV and Offender Health. You will also provide leadership, coaching, and training to pharmacy staff while driving quality improvement and innovation.
This role requires advanced clinical expertise, strong leadership capability, and excellent communication skills to support effective team performance and the delivery of patient-centred pharmaceutical care across TUH.
Requirements
- A Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from a recognised tertiary institution
- Registration as a pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
Desirable
- A postgraduate qualification in a health-related discipline and/or current enrolment in the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia (SHPA) residency program
- Current aseptic manufacturing competency
