About the role
As a Nurse Practitioner within the Minor Injury and Illness Clinic, you will practice at an advanced level, delivering comprehensive care across the full clinical journey – from assessment and diagnosis to treatment and follow-up. This role is suited to a highly skilled clinician who thrives in a fast-paced environment managing a broad range of non-life-threatening injuries and acute conditions in both adult and paediatric populations.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Demonstrate autonomy, accountability, and competence for expanded practice in providing client-focused care within a nursing model including advanced health assessment of consumer's/patient's clinical condition, development, and implementation of appropriately documented management plan.
- Provide specialist nursing interventions that demonstrate an expanded level of nursing knowledge and skills in the practice area of Emergency Nursing or Primary Health including paediatrics and adults.
- Provide advanced clinical support and leadership through evidence-based practice and professional development, service planning and delivery, and quality initiatives.
- Evaluate service outcomes with specific indicators and benchmarking and apply appropriate change management strategies as required.
- Demonstrate the ability to promote, undertake and support research activities to support improved client care and best practice.
