Your Opportunity

As the Senior Marketing and Content Officer you will:

  • Recommend, create and execute content plans and projects using best practices, to meet TAFE Queensland’s goals.
  • Use specialist knowledge of TAFE Queensland markets to identify and develop engaging internal and external content.

This position reports to the Brand and Content Manager.

This is a Temporary, part-time opportunity (0.4FTE), to 15 January 2027 unless otherwise determined.

The position will be based primarily at Mount Gravatt, however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.  

Key Responsibilitie

  • Recommend, create and execute content plans and projects, using best practices, to meet TAFE Queensland’s goals.
  • Implement marketing programs and activities including content, campaigns, websites and social media to support TAFE Queensland’s strategic objectives ensuring liaison and consultation with key stakeholders.
  • Analyse audience requirements and consult internal and external stakeholders to identify and develop engaging internal and external content.
  • Coordinate, write, edit and update high-quality content including electronic direct mail, videos, blogs, case studies, online information and campaign content.
  • Advocate a customer-centric view through execution of marketing and content creation plans. Thus, building brand engagement, positive customer experiences and delivery of commercial return.
  • Apply project management techniques to set priorities and develop work plans, with an emphasis on delivering agreed outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Support the Manager, Brand and Strategic Communication with the implementation of the TAFE Queensland brand strategy.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with management, colleagues and clients in order to deliver projects and activity.
  • Assist with additional communication tasks as requested by the Manager, Brand and Strategic Communication.
  • Provide recommendations of continuous improvement and service enhancements that support organisational goals.
  • Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the values of Safety First, Working Together, Focusing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.

How you will be assessed

The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

  • Demonstrate your ability to live the TAFE Queensland values: Safety First, Focusing on our Customer, Working Together, Taking Responsibility. 
  • Demonstrated marketing and communication experience in developing content strategies that support the growth strategies and enhances the customer experience in a TAFE Queensland environment.
  • Evidence of working in a team and with subject matter experts to gather information and negotiate outcomes to meet the customer needs.Extensive knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the vocational education and training sector including TAFE Queensland operations and external factors impacting on the organisation, and the ability to differentiate issues.
  • Experience in project managing marketing and communication activities across regional boundaries to ensure effective outcomes are delivered within timeframes and budget expectations.
