About the role
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide professional and high level administrative and frontline support to all patients, visitors and employees of STARS, demonstrating understanding, empathy and patience, while ensuring confidentiality, tact, diplomacy and discretion whilst being accountable for the quality of work undertaken.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly and confidently with patients, members of the public and facility staff, face-to-face and via virtual care services, asking questions, responding to enquires and providing accurate information.
- Confidently execute required work through the utilisation of information systems including Microsoft Office Suite, Hospital Based Corporate Information System (HBCIS), integrated electronic Medical Record (ieMR), Enterprise System Management (ESM), Electronic Booking System (EBS), Q-Flow, Interpreter Services, S4HANA, PRODA, Smart Referrals Workflow Solution, Amazon Connect, and RiskMan.
- Proficiently complete tasks associated with bookings for appointments including patient check/out, admissions/discharges, appointment cancellations, confirmations and rescheduling, referrals, appointment outcomes, management of telehealth appointments, and waitlist management using the relevant information systems, ensuring alignment with the Implementation Standards and seeking involvement of the MDT as necessary.
