What your day could look like
As an Operational Services Officer, you'll be a vital part of the support system that keeps care flowing safely and efficiently. From creating clean, welcoming environments to assisting clinical teams, your work helps deliver better experiences for patients, families and staff.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Creating safe, hygienic and well-maintained spaces that support quality care
- Assisting with patient movement and non-clinical care, helping people feel comfortable and supported
- Keeping essential services running smoothly through equipment handling, logistics and maintenance tasks
- Working alongside a diverse team, sharing responsibility for a safe and respectful environment
Let's Talk About You
You're someone who takes pride in practical work that truly matters. Calm under pressure and respectful in every interaction, you bring a strong sense of responsibility and care to everything you do. Whether you're supporting patients directly or keeping environments clean and safe, you know your contribution helps people feel secure and valued. You're motivated to learn, ready to step in when needed, and committed to making each day better for those around you.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Ability to safely perform manual handling and follow workplace safety practices
- Experience or understanding of cleaning, support services or similar environments
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to stay organised across varied tasks
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to work flexible shifts
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in healthcare or rural settings and/or additional training in infection control or patient support services.
Above all, you'll bring compassion, integrity and courage to your work—helping create a safe, respectful and supportive environment for everyone.
In this role, your everyday actions help deliver safe care and positive experiences for the community.
