What your day could look like
As an Administration Officer – Medical Records, you'll play an important part in delivering safe, connected care by ensuring patient information is always where it needs to be. Your work supports clinicians, patients and families—helping the entire health service run smoothly while contributing to a community that relies on each other.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Ensuring patient information flows seamlessly so care can happen safely and without delay
- Coordinating records across teams and locations, keeping everything accurate and accessible
- Supporting staff and patients with timely, respectful assistance while protecting privacy
- Improving systems and ways of working so services continue to grow and adapt
Let's talk about you!
You're someone who finds purpose in helping others succeed. You notice the details others might miss and take pride in doing work that quietly makes everything else possible. You bring compassion in how you support people, integrity in how you handle information, and a steady, reliable presence your team can count on. In this role, you won't just manage records—you'll help create continuity of care for a regional community where your contribution truly matters.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Experience in administration, records management or handling sensitive information
- Confidence using digital systems and learning new technologies
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Clear communication skills and a genuine commitment to confidentiality
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in healthcare or working with electronic record systems, and a passion for contributing to regional communities.
Most importantly, you'll be driven by purpose—valuing teamwork, trust, and making a meaningful difference every day.
