Tell me more... Thursday Island is a beautiful tropical destination in the Torres Strait near Cape York, surrounded by clear blue waters, coral reefs and neighbouring islands, offering a unique setting paired with a close‑knit community and relaxed lifestyle shaped by strong Torres Strait Islander culture and a warm climate all year round.
Step into a dynamic and rewarding role where you'll be at the heart of supporting Maternal and Child Health programs across the Torres Strait and Northern Peninsula. As the Maternal and Child Health Officer, you'll play a vital part in keeping services running smoothly by delivering high-quality administrative support across human resources, finance, and program management, while working in a culturally respectful and collaborative environment. You'll be the connector that brings the team together, coordinating meetings, capturing and analysing data, and maintaining essential information systems that drive continuous improvement. This is more than an administrative role. It's your chance to contribute to meaningful health outcomes, support frontline teams, and help shape stronger, healthier communities.
Professional and personal motivators!
