About the role
Deliver specialist Hepatology services across the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and Caboolture Hospital, providing high-quality, evidence-based care for patients with acute and chronic liver disease. This role operates across a dual-site model, combining tertiary and community-based care to improve access, strengthen referral pathways, and support equitable service delivery across Metro North Health.
You will contribute to inpatient and outpatient services while leading the development of a networked Hepatology model of care, supporting service expansion and innovation. The role includes establishing clinical pathways, contributing to multidisciplinary care, and supporting service growth at Caboolture Hospital, alongside clinical governance, education, and research activities.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide expert specialist care in Hepatology across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Lead development and implementation of clinical pathways and models of care
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
- Contribute to education, supervision, and mentoring of medical staff and trainees
- Participate in quality improvement, service development, and research initiatives
