About us:
Woorabinda Multi-Purpose Health Service (MPHS) provides first-line healthcare for the prominent Aboriginal community of Woorabinda and its surrounding rural areas. Located 200km from the stunning beaches of Yeppoon and neighboring the beautiful Blackdown Tableland, this community is rich in First Nations culture and deep community spirit.
Our dedicated team of 63 staff deliver community care spanning 24-hour accident and emergency, inpatient care, residential aged care, and essential public health services. Come with respect, patience, and a willingness to learn—life is beautifully simple here, free from big city rush, and operates with a zero-alcohol carriage policy.
About the role:
- Deliver high-quality, autonomous nursing care across emergency, general inpatient, outpatient, and residential aged care settings.
- Coordinate and mentor Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing to ensure collaborative and safe patient care delivery.
- Step into the Shift Coordinator role when required, managing clinical workflows and team resources effectively.
- Champion a specific clinical portfolio focused on quality improvement, clinical education, or leadership development.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with patients, families, and visiting specialist multidisciplinary teams.
About you:
- You hold current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- You bring clinical knowledge and adaptable skills suited for rural and remote nursing practice within an Indigenous community.
- You possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with deep respect and transparency with patients, families, and peers.
- You are willing to actively participate in quality improvement activities and clinical audits to support safety standards.
- You are committed to your own professional development and eager to expand your clinical leadership capabilities.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $127,861 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $44.06 - $56.51 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
