About the Team
The Dakabin Youth Hub, co-located with Dakabin State High School and operated by Children's Health Queensland is a place-based space for young people to access wraparound support for material basics, social and emotional wellbeing and health support, and to enhance learning and student engagement. The Hub endeavours to provide a safe space for young people to access a range of services in partnership with the school. Through engaging with the Hub, young people will be proactively supported to navigate varied and complex life challenges.
About the Role
The position of Youth Engagement Officer – Dakabin Youth Hub will:
- Proactively engage with young people at the Dakabin Youth Hub within a trauma-informed, co-designed, low-barrier, early intervention youth hub model.
- Contribute to the development of services, programs and activities to enhance the health and wellbeing of young people within the Dakabin State High School community.
- Facilitate improved health, wellbeing, and social outcomes for Dakabin youth through working in collaboration and partnership with Children's Health Queensland and other stakeholders including government representation, non-government organisations and other education, health, and social services providers.
