About us:
Provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas (catchments in excess of a population of 250,000) with services located in each area. Rockhampton is the principal service centre and as such provides the administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016, and is the location of the acute adult inpatient facilities. In addition there is a Adult Step Up Step Down facility located in Gladstone and a Adult Community Care Unit located in Rockhampton.
About the role:
- Deliver discipline specific mental health clinical services, including mental state and risk assessment, care planning, therapy interventions, case management, consultation, health promotion, early identification/intervention, liaison and education.
- Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through active learning within the team and by engaging in professional development activities, peer, professional and clinical supervision.
- Actively participate in the single or multidisciplinary team including provision of outreach to surrounding teams within the CQMHAODS and participation in extended hours services as required.
- Work flexibly, collaboratively, efficiently and effectively within the team and with consumers, carers and other stakeholders, in order to promote consumer recovery.
About you:
- Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:
- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology
- Social Work
- A base level of knowledge, expertise and skill in delivery of adult mental health services including knowledge of the Queensland Mental Health Act 2016 and the National Standards for Mental Health Services.
- A high level of effective interpersonal and therapeutic communication skills with the ability to effectively work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Ability or ability to rapidly acquire the skill to provide guidance to less experienced staff members and education to students in adult mental health.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $132,567 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $43.68 - $58.59 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
