We’re looking for Registered Nurses who brings strong, person-centred care and thrives in a fast-paced, integrated perioperative environment. In this role, you’ll work across our Day Surgery Unit, supporting patients through every stage of their journey - from pre-admission, through procedures, to recovery in PACU.

About us:
Our Day Surgery Unit is an integrated service that includes the Preadmission Clinic, Day Surgery Ward, Endoscopy Unit (Procedure Room), Post Anaesthetic Recovery Unit, and support for the Clinical Nurse in the Acute Pain Service. These areas work together to deliver coordinated day surgery care.
- The Pre-Admission Clinic includes six consult rooms and a 10-chair waiting area.
- The Day Surgery Unit consists of a 10-bed and 7-recliner open-plan area.
- The Post Anaesthetic Care Unit has nine bays and receives patients from five operating theatres, two procedure rooms, and the MRI suite.
About the role:
- Provides person-centred nursing care in line with NMBA Registered Nurse Standards of Practice, including complex care within Day Surgery Services.
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care in collaboration with patients, peers, and the multidisciplinary team, ensuring safe and effective outcomes across the care continuum.
- Demonstrates clinical leadership through coordination of care, delegation, supervision, and support of enrolled nurses, students, and team members.
- Contributes to system support through compliance with policies and standards, participation in quality improvement, risk management, data quality, and development of clinical guidelines.
- Engages in education, research, and professional leadership by supporting learning, providing health education, applying evidence-based practice, and collaborating in governance and best practice initiatives.
About you:
- Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA and a valid practising certificate are mandatory; postgraduate qualifications or progress toward them are desirable.
- Experience in PACU and/or Gastroenterology is highly regarded, with the ability to apply contemporary clinical principles in practice.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver, plan, and evaluate high-quality clinical care while contributing to an effective and motivated team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and collaboration, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $4,318 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $44.06 - $56.51 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
