About the Role
The purpose of the Manager, Policy and Research, SQ is to provide policy advice and IET market insights to a wide range of audiences that are underpinned by robust research and data analysis. You will navigate complex policy issues, leading and undertaking research and analysis and providing high level advice on matters that impact on the growth and sustainability of the IET sector. You will implement, monitor and report on the progress of initiatives delivered by Study Queensland, contributing to the development of policy, legislation and system changes.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Research, prepare and/or coordinate submissions, briefing notes, reports and correspondence on complex IET-related policy issues, SQ business priorities and operational issues, including matters for discussion with the Minister, Senior Executives, and other key public and private sector stakeholders.
- Influence whole of government policy initiatives focused on best practice in IET.
- Monitor sector trends, critical developments, and emerging opportunities, and provide timely and accurate data and market intelligence to SQ, TIQ, government, and industry audiences.
- Provide advice and guidance on national IET related policy settings and data management.
- Design, develop, implement and maintain SQ's performance measurement, analysis and reporting frameworks/strategies, including providing performance information for various internal and external reports.
- Represent TIQ at stakeholder meetings as required and apply high-level negotiating and influencing skills to gain consensus and support from people with differing views.
- Develop and foster effective relationships with key stakeholders across local, state and federal agencies and industry, advocate for Queensland's interests, and negotiate effective outcomes that continue to build commitment to the Queensland IET sector.
This role may require additional duties to be completed as directed.
