Reporting to the Manager, Directorate, you will have the opportunity to provide high-level executive administrative and operational project support to the General Manager and the division.

You will coordinate, manage and provide quality control over the General Manager's daily schedule, and other administrative tasks that support the work of the division.

You will also be required to balance conflicting priorities, work to deadlines and display a high degree of professionalism, judgement and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Situated within the Queensland Operations division, the Queensland Operations Directorate plays a key role in enabling TIQ to fulfil its objectives in line with TIQ Strategic and Business Plans. This is achieved by several priority sectors which focus on mining, resources, energy, food, agribusiness, health, innovation and technology - as well as a network of eight regional centres to support Queensland businesses

Your opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Directorate, you will have the opportunity to provide high-level executive administrative and operational project support to the General Manager and the division. You will coordinate, manage and provide quality control over the General Manager's daily schedule, and other administrative tasks that support the work of the division.

Your contribution (key responsibilities and accountabilities):

  • Provide high level confidential administrative and operational support to the General Manager
  • Actively participate in the delivery and coordination of other business management functions and projects both domestically and internationally as required.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in all administrative documents associated with activities within the division.
  • Coordinate stakeholder responses across the division on a range of operational and policy matters.
  • In consultation with the Manager, you will develop, implement and continuously improve office management systems including information management, filing and tracking systems.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication strategies, protocols, stakeholder negotiation and liaison activities across cultures and other private and public sector organisations.
  • Develop and foster effective relationships with key stakeholders across local, state and federal agencies, industry to continue to build commitment to long term growth.

This role may require additional duties to be completed as directed

  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality confidential administrative and operational support, including executive diary management, coordination of correspondence requests and research.
  • Possesses high level of organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to provide innovative solutions to complex problems in challenging environments.
  • Possesses excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrates a high level of resilience and flexibility while operating in an environment with competing priorities.
