The Commercial Dispute Resolution Team specialises in all forms of alternate dispute resolution, having successfully negotiated the resolution of numerous disputes on behalf of client departments, through mediation and participation in without prejudice conferences.

As a Senior Lawyer, you will:

  • have the carriage of a range of legal matters handled by legal officers in the Commercial Dispute Resolution Team at Crown Law in respect to the areas of work listed below. 
  • provide representation and high-quality advice on liability, evidence, quantum, settlement, costs and strategic direction
  • draft court documents and briefs to counsel, instruct counsel at hearings and mediations

Please be advised that, effective 1 July 2026, the Commercial Dispute Resolution team will be renamed to Litigation and Dispute Resolution and will move to the Claims, Litigation and Dispute Resolution legal branch. Please note that this change will not affect the job responsibilities outlined in the attached position description.
