The successful candidate will play an integral role in the following:
- Provide advice and support to the business on industrial and employment matters.
- Manage a caseload of performance, conduct, grievances, complaint, attendance and independent medical examination matters.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and/or engage external investigators, draft briefing notes and compile associated materials, coordinate meetings between investigators and employees.
- Help managers develop performance improvement and absence management plans.
- Manage cases in accordance with legislation, industrial instruments, directives, policies and procedures.
- Facilitate early intervention and resolution of workplace conflicts including coordinating mediation, coaching and structured conversations.
- Prepare files notes, briefing notes, correspondence and other documents associated with employee relations matters.
- Complete public interest disclosure and human rights assessments and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential case records and documentation.
About You:
- You have experience managing and providing advice on human resource and employee relations matters.
- You have knowledge of legislation and industrial instruments that relate to public sector employee relations.
- You have experience in writing reports, communicate in a clear, concise and articulate manner, offer convincing rationale and negotiate persuasively
