As an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker, you'll support better health outcomes by helping people access culturally safe care and the services they need. Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Connecting people with the right care, support and services
- Coordinating care and referrals to improve wellbeing outcomes
- Delivering health education that encourages positive health choices
- Building trusted relationships and advocating for community needs

You're passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. You build trust through respectful connections, communicate with confidence, and are committed to culturally safe, person-centred care. You take pride in supporting your community and creating positive change.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (or equivalent)
- Understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and cultural priorities
- Experience in community engagement, advocacy, health promotion or care coordination
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience mentoring others and/or working in community health settings.
Above all, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage while helping build healthier communities across the Darling Downs.
