About the role
This is an exciting leadership opportunity to manage the delivery of facilities management, engineering services, maintenance operations and minor new works across North West Hospital and Health Service.
In this role, you will lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee contractors and manage the planning, delivery and maintenance of critical healthcare infrastructure. Your work will directly support the delivery of safe, reliable and contemporary health services across Mount Isa and the broader North West region.
- Lead and manage the multi-disciplined building trades, engineering, drafting, grounds maintenance teams and external contractors to deliver high quality facility management services.
- Oversee maintenance programs and minor new works projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and in compliance with relevant legislation, Australian Standards and building regulations.
- Provide strategic advice on facilities planning, infrastructure development, maintenance programs and asset management to support the future growth of health services.
- Drive continuous improvement, risk management, quality outcomes and a strong safety culture while contributing to the ongoing delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Requirements
- Whilst no formal qualifications are required, a diploma or degree in engineering, Project Management or trade qualification and membership of an engineering institute or hospital engineering institute would be highly regarded.
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
