The Deputy Principal (Special Education), known locally as DP Inclusion, is a vital member of the Executive Leadership Team at Tara Shire State College.

We are looking for a visionary leader with experience and specific knowledge and skills in the leadership of students with disabilities in a P-12 context.

Continuing the College's inclusion journey and supporting the Tara cluster schools and utilising the DP Inclusion's expertise in maximising outcomes for all students is an essential aspect of the role.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:

  • Assist the Principal to lead the school community through the school special education program (SEP) or early childhood development program (ECDP) to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Deputise for the Principal when required.
  • Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
