As the casual Assistant in Nursing at Eventide Home, you'll help create a safe, supportive and welcoming home for older people living with dementia, cognitive impairment and complex care needs.

Eventide Home is an 80-bed residential aged care facility in Rockhampton, dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centred care in a warm and welcoming environment where residents feel safe, valued and at home.

Families are encouraged to remain actively involved in their loved ones' lives through resident activities and care planning, helping maintain meaningful connections. About the role:

  • Provide safe, compassionate, person-centred care to residents under the guidance of Registered Nurses, supporting their individual health and wellbeing needs.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including meals, mobility and personal care, while promoting residents' independence, dignity and quality of life.
  • Observe, document and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing, contributing to ongoing assessment, care planning and evaluation.
  • Support meaningful lifestyle, therapy and wellbeing activities that enhance residents' physical, social and emotional health.

About you:

  • Previous experience in residential aged care or a healthcare setting will be highly regarded, along with a genuine passion for providing compassionate, resident-centred care.
  • Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support (or equivalent), or current progress towards an approved nursing qualification, is desirable.
  • Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and the ability to deliver safe, high-quality care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
  • Strong observation, communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to recognise and respond to residents' changing needs.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement and delivering respectful, person-centred care within a multidisciplinary team.

What we offer:

  • An hourly rate between $43.81 - $47.97 p.h. (Including 25% casual loading)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
